Story:
Anushka played a dual role in this flick. Honey (Anushka) is a fashion designer and runs a garment store in the city. Panchakshari (Anushka) is born in a temple in Warangal and brought up there only. The villagers worship her on the festival day of ‘BONALU’. Panchakshari dies on a festival day and how and why it happens forms the crux.
Performances:
Anushka is okay in both the roles she has donned. She tried to show some variation. Nassar and Telangana Sakuntala are okay. Brahmanandam and Ali repeated the same old beaten track. Samrat and Ravi are okay. Pradeep Rawat played the bad man’s role. The story is a wafer thin one narrated with an outdated screenplay. Music by Chinna is o.k. The background score is good. Cinematography is not up to the mark. Editing could have been better. Direction is below Average. The production values are okay.
Analysis:
Make-up man Chandra (Bommadevara Ramachandra Rao) turned producer with this flick. Samudra (who best suits for remakes) directed it. The story is an age old one and the narration is very weak. The screenplay is out dated. The film appears as a mixture of ‘Ammoru’ and ‘Arundathi’. Samudra completely failed in getting the audience connected to the Story. The two tracks appeared completely different and there is no sentiment thread to connect both. The first half is below Average. Second half started on a good note but disappoints miserably.
Anushka suited well to the role of city girl well. She received huge applause for the mass steps in the introduction song. She has improved a lot in dances. She has done a good job as Goddess in the climax. Brahmanandam has done the spoof of “Magadheera”-The comedy track took off well but latter disappoints a lot. The remaining cast tried to deliver their best. The Cinematography is not up to the mark. Graphics work done in the climax Scene was good. The editing is poor. Chinna impresses only with his background Score yet again.
Towards the climax one wonders what we are watching -- K.R.Vijaya Starred Goddess movie of 90’s or a B Grade RAMNARAYAN’s Tamil Dubbed movie.
The movie has no star value other than Anushka. The only crowd pulling factor in the movie is her presence only. We have to wait and watch how it fares at B, C Centers.
Plus: Anushka
Minus: Weak Story/Screenplay/Narration
Verdict: A disappointing Flick, Audience hardly connects to such Outdated Stuff. Watch it unless you are an ardent fan of Anushka only-others can avoid
Nice Analysis Sir, Good!
